What is UV DTF Transfer?
UV DTF (Ultraviolet Direct-to-Film) transfer is a printing method used to create full-color, peel-and-stick decals for hard surfaces. Unlike traditional DTF for apparel, UV DTF does not require heat pressing and is not used on fabric.
It combines UV-cured ink printing with an adhesive transfer film system.
How UV DTF Works
-
Your design is printed onto a special film using UV-curable inks.
-
White ink is layered underneath for opacity and vibrancy.
-
A clear adhesive layer is applied.
-
The design is transferred by peeling and pressing onto a hard surface.
No heat press. No weeding. No lamination required.
Where UV DTF is Used?
UV DTF transfers are designed for hard, smooth surfaces, such as:
-
Glass
-
Metal
-
Plastic
-
Acrylic
-
Wood (sealed)
-
Tumblers and drinkware
-
Phone cases
-
Packaging
It is not suitable for fabric. For apparel, standard DTF transfers are required.
What are The Key Features of UV DTF?
-
Peel-and-press application
-
Strong adhesive backing
-
Waterproof and weather-resistant
-
Scratch-resistant surface
-
Vibrant CMYK + white ink printing
-
Glossy, raised finish
Properly applied UV DTF decals can last outdoors and resist water exposure.
